This truly is the greatest thing since bread!
I am writing this from the comfort of my couch, on our new Wii. The Opera browser, which only cost 500 Wii points, works every bit as well as Firefox. JavaScript, Flash, gmail, google, and blogs all seem to work. OK, so typing with a wiimote is a tad bit tedious, but it is improving my hand/eye coordination. :-) Nothing that a USB Bluetooth keyboard won't fix.
Here's what we went through just to get a Wii.
Keep checking back under the Games/Wii section for tips and tricks and game reviews. Sweet.

It's been three weeks and I'm still sick. What started out as the flu has changed into something else. Fuzzy head, dizziness, head aches, runny sinuses and coughing up all sorts of colorful junk has made these last few weeks miserable. At this point I am more annoyed than anything else. This is my vacation week and so far all of my plans have to be put on hold. 5 days of azithromyacin may have gotten rid of the lung infection, but the coughing remains

"This database includes basic specifications for printers and details of how to make them go under normal unices that can run Ghostscript and/or filters like pnm2ppa. GNU/Linux, the BSDs and Mac OS X typify this category; users of other commercial unices can usually benefit from this information as well. The information here is not (very) useful for Windows users."

*** shopping cart disabled as of 9/3/2009 ***
I have finally upgraded the shopping catalog. Here you will find used and/or refurbished items. Basically these are items which have low resale value, but are of use to collectors and hobbyists. Soon to come will be hard to find cables, computer components, and other electronic gadgets. In the future I may make available items which relate to the different topics you will find on my blog. The Catalog is configured to accept payments via PayPal. Soon, it will also be tied in with the USPS to provide exact shipping costs.

"I am challenging myself to spend 15 minutes a day doing things that will help to make the world a better place. To step outside of my needs and focus on doing something that will have a positive effect on others. This blog stands as evidence of what a single person can do if they commit themselves to making the world a better place. Anyone care to join me?"

I am completely re-writing the Geeky Tech Guy web site. After I port the existing content to the new database, I will begin working on other areas of the web site. New features to come include: File download management, ability to post comments, and better security.
