“The tools we use shape the terrain of our minds. My vapes are more than devices — they’re instruments in a progressive rock opera unfolding in real time.”
— Probably something I said while holding a lighter too long
Introduction
People often ask me,
“Jim, what kind of vaporizer setup are you running these days?”
No one actually asks me that, but if they did, I’d be ready.
In this post, I will be taking you on a guided tour of my current cannabis vaporization ecosystem. It’s not flashy. There are no lasers, unless you count the red dot on the Arizer display. But it works. It’s functional. And in its quiet, modular way, it reflects the entire topography of my Space Brain.
If you were hoping for synthwave aesthetics and LED-lit grinders… sorry.
This ride is scored by RUSH. It has a desk, a couch, a torch, and a firm belief in microdosing.
☁️ The Ritual Ecosystem
My gear falls into two basic categories:
Portable microdose units for dialing in the focus, and stationary rigs for deep dives into the fabric of thought.
Each device has its own rhythm. Each has its time. Each aligns with a specific state of being, like planets orbiting a slightly confused sun.
🔋 Portable Microdose Modules
🔹 Utillian 722

This is my battery-powered, button-activated, relatively efficient unit.
It heats up quickly, delivers consistent hits, and does not ask questions.
Ideal for days when I don’t want to think too hard about what I’m doing, but still want to do it intentionally.
I use it for microdosing — just enough to soften the edges without melting the core. It comes in handy when I am out of butane or just don’t want to mess with anything more complicated than a usb cable.
🔹 Dynavap M7

This is the analog workhorse.
Butane-powered. Click-to-vape. No electronics, just heat and timing.
Using the M7 feels like smoking a joint, if that joint was actually a highly engineered titanium wand of wonder.
Also used for microdosing, but with added flavor, ritual, and the ever-present risk of combusting if I get distracted by my cat.
This is great for quick hits and fast reloads.
🧘 Stationary Systems for Desk or Couch
🔸 Arizer V-Tower

The V-Tower is a plug-in desktop vaporizer. It heats dry herb. It has a screen. It does what it says on the box.
It is well-suited for use at my desk, where I do things like write blog posts, stream on Twitch, or stare blankly into the monitor wondering what I came here for. But I also use it on the sofa as it’s just light enough to hold, and the LCD panel is bright enough to call my attention back for another hit..
🔸 Terpcicle + Glassware
Now we enter the artisan zone.

The Quartz Cap Megacicle is a flame-powered convection vaporizer that pairs with glass — like a wine decanter, but for heat-extracted cannabinoids.
I use it with two different glass pieces:
Beaker Bong (Sofa Configuration):
Ideal for full-body melt and slow time perception. I sit. I breathe. The vapor enters, and I begin to understand 1970s album covers on a spiritual level.
Desk Bong (Streaming Configuration):
This glass piece has a 90° downstem and an angled mouthpiece, making it ergonomically optimized for mid-stream tokes.
It’s also good for writing, pretending I’m piloting a spaceship, or staring at OBS wondering if my mic is muted.
🌫️ A Note on the Horizon: Dynavap VonG
I am not planning to acquire any new devices at this time.
However, I have occasionally considered the Dynavap VonG — a slightly larger variant of the M7, designed to integrate directly with glass.
The concept of a microdose-friendly device with built-in bong compatibility appeals to me. It’s like the M7, but fancier.
This is not a commitment. Just a passing thought, filed away for later. Possibly much later.
Final Thoughts from Space Brain Headquarters
This ecosystem is not about chasing clouds. It’s about shaping the moment — whether I’m writing, streaming, or just watching the fan spin above me like a lazy galaxy.
Each piece of gear is a reflection of a use case. A moment. A mood.
The M7 says “Take it easy.”
The V-Tower says “Take it easy.”
The 722 says “Take it easy.”
The Terpcicle says “Take it easy.”
Thanks for visiting.
You may now return to whatever dimension you were previously inhabiting.
